I am attorney W. Scott Hanken. I have added a special wrinkle to my criminal law practice during 35-plus years of service – lessons learned during my background as a prosecutor that have marked my effective defense representation ever since.

Before establishing my own law office in Springfield, I worked as a Sangamon County prosecutor and assistant state’s attorney. My insight into how the prosecution works is incredibly valuable in defending clients. I know how government lawyers think.
